About Laynie’s TreeHouse

Laynie’s TreeHouse was born out of the Sustain Initiative through Avedis Foundation and Impact City to benefit Legacy Parenting Center. The goal is to create a business that would generate revenue to fund the nonprofit. Laynie’s TreeHouse is a perfect fit because the mission of Legacy is to build stronger, healthier families - the TreeHouse gives families the opportunity to play, play is the foundation of childhood!

The name Laynie’s TreeHouse was inspired by a special baby named Laynie Hope, daughter of Legacy Parenting Center Executive Director Lacey Holt. Born with a rare genetic condition, Laynie wasn’t expected to live past birth. She surpassed everyone’s expectations and lived for 898 days. Laynie’s life taught us many things, including the importance of having fun and making memories with the ones you love. Children are a gift. We want families to have the opportunity to embrace childhood, let their kids be kids, and have fun with them.

Laynie’s TreeHouse Backyard was our temporary play space for little ones. As of 9/23/23, we are closing our doors on the pilot space inside Shawnee Mall. Follow us on social media for future TreeHouse updates. Thank you for the memories!
